Welcome to the website for the FMF United States NT, Nasal Bone, and
Tricuspid Regurgitation Accreditation Processes. For over five years,
we have been offering education, practical training, competency examination,
and ongoing quality assurance to sonographers and sonologists in the
United States in the areas of first trimester screening for aneuploidy
with nuchal translucency measurements and more recently nasal bone
and now tricuspid regurgitation assessments. Over 1500 persons in 47
of the 50 United States have now completed the initial accreditation
and now participate in the annual ongoing accreditation process.
For the NT, nasal bone, and tricuspid regurgitation
accreditation processes, all images and videos/CDs are submitted to
me to my office in Studio City, CA (address, phone and e-mail are given
in the Contact Information section). Offering the complete process
from initial accreditation through ongoing annual audit entirely within
the United States has meant that the process can be expedited with
rapid response to applicants sending in images, transparent in that
all correspondence consists of one-on-one direct communication with
myself or other local reviewers. Courses are offered locally around
the US on a regular basis with lectures given by experts from both
the United States and the international community. There is even an
online course alternative for those who cannot travel and/or prefer
to work on the course material over time.
Here is an exciting development for those in the process of becoming
accredited! I have had the pleasure of working with several ultrasound
manufacturers recently to develop pre-sets and scanning tips specific
to several different ultrasound systems. This should facilitate the
process of initial accreditation as well as helping with consistency
over time for the ongoing quality assurance program as well. If you
